Steele Clark Smith III is an American entrepreneur of complementary or alternative medical therapies, national advocate for patient access to holistic therapies, and Founding Director of C3 International, Inc., developer of patent(s)pending Idrasil™. The world's first non synthetic, pharmaceutical grade cannabis pill, Idrasil offers a standardized and consistent formulation in a 25mg prescription based tablet. As an expert in cannabinoid therapeutics, Steele along with his wife Theresa Ann Smith, are pioneers of cannabis collectives under California's Compassionate Use Act of 1996, forming the Greater Orange County Cannabis Collectives Alliance (GOCCA) in 2009. His ongoing compassion for patients suffering from the effects of disease related treatments inspired him to start California compassionate caregivers collective in effort to volunteer with the AIDS Project Los Angeles during the height of the AIDS crisis in the mid-90's. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from USC and attended Cambridge University in England as part of an innovative undergraduate law program. He has been nominated as a semifinalist of Inc. Magazine Market Masters Award as well as the Ten Outstanding Young Americans Award, and in 2006 was awarded Outstanding Young Californian of the US Jr. Chamber of Commerce. As a central figure and spokesman on the War to Legalize Cannabis for Safe Therapeutic Use, Steele has been featured on Cannabis Planet, One Med Radio, Geraldo at Large, and in 2014 will be featured in American addict, a documentary about prescription drug abuse in America.
